Prayer is an important part of our relationship with God; it is how He communicates with us. It is a way for us to receive instruction and encouragement in our daily lives, to help others in need, and to pray for those who don't know Him.
Jesus said in Matthew 21:13, My house will be called a house of prayer.....
When you go to an Italian Restaurant, you should expect Italian food. When you go to the house of the Lord, you should expect prayer.
Our Church is a house of prayer. Believing in the power of prayer, we set aside a brief time before each service to pray for God's will to be done in the lives of those attending. We invite you to either join in with us or to simply allow the atmosphere of prayer to prepare your heart for the presence of God. |

God wants us to pray. One way God moves is through our prayers; so when we pray, it enables God to move on earth.
- "And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth." Luke 11:2
- To be in touch with God and ask Him to give instructions for our lives.
- "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure." Philippians 2:13
So God can communicate how much He loves us.
- "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
- To ask God to help others in need.
- "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
- To pray that others may come to know Him as Savior and Lord.
- "I exhort therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." 1 Timothy 2:1-2
