Mission Education and Projects for Youth and Children PDF Print E-mail
Our teens are given opportunities to express Christ's love to other cultures by annually participating in the District Missions Day which offers a variety of service projects throughout the local cities. Specially designed mission lessons contribute to the overall children's ministry. Visiting missionaries often make special presentations to the children. They are also challenged to raise money, along with other Nazarene children around the world, for an annual project.

Alabaster Offering PDF Print E-mail
The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. It gives a sense of permanence, the attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to "put down roots." Eighty percent of the money is used in world mission areas, and twenty percent goes to multicultural congregations in the United States and Canada. Alabaster funds help provide land for most Work & Witness projects. The entire offering goes toward the construction of churches, schools, medical facilities, and homes for missionaries and national workers.

Each February and September, Nazarenes are encouraged to pour out their Alabaster love gifts like the woman mentioned in Matthew 26:6-13 who poured out her costly alabaster oil to cleanse Jesus’ feet to demonstrate her love for Him. All Alabaster money goes to pay for buildings and properties in mission areas. A special box makes it easy to collect your love-gift for this twice-a-year offering.

All Alabaster money is used for its original purpose; none is kept back for administrative costs.

There are Alabaster boxes available in the church office. These boxes may be used to collect your extra change throughout the year and help build buildings that will last for many years. These buildings in turn can be used for evangelistic efforts which can have eternal results.

Mission Education PDF Print E-mail
The local church seeks ways to inform people concerning the investment they make in world evangelism. Through the Holiness Today magazine, annual book selections written by missionaries, missionary speakers, videos, worship folder inserts and other activities, we promise to pass on to you information about how your mission dollars are working.

Faith Promise PDF Print E-mail
This is an act of faith that promises God a specific amount of money to be given through weekly, monthly, or annual giving. This offering is in addition to the tithe and goes to support world evangelism. Once each year, a weekend is set aside for special mission activities including a Faith Promise banquet and special missionary speaker.

Work & Witness PDF Print E-mail
ImageWORK & WITNESS:  On a regular basis, the Nazarene Church sends a volunteer team to a mission field to work on a building project or provide medical expertise. This is our denominational organization which provides crisis relief in disasters like famine, earthquake, fire, or flood. Speakers and information updates (as well as designated offerings) enable us to be a part of this world relief effort.

Nazarene churches around the globe have been challenged by Nazarene Compassionate Ministries to fill at least one banana box with 6 Crisis Care Kits. These CCKs will provide basic personal supplies for people who are in a time of crisis. Please do what you can to help fill the tremendous needs left by Hurricane Katrina.

For a list of what should be included in your care kit, please click here.

For detailed instructions on making a kit, please click here.

Your completed Crisis Care Kit (along with $2.00 per kit to help with the cost of storage and shipping costs during the distribution process) may be brought to the Nazarene's Connection Point where they will be boxed and shipped.
